RIO: Because I’m just one person.
RIO: A speck in the universe.
RIO: And when my plans have reached their conclusion...
RIO: No one will remember me.
RIO: In the grand scheme of things... we don’t matter.
RIO: None of us do.
RIO: And unless my plan succeeds, NOBODY in our universe will be remembered. Not one.
RIO: As it stands, we are fated to waste away in obscurity, while our beloved homeworld cannibalizes itself from the inside.
RIO: And when Homeworld falls... everything else will follow.
RIO: Homeworld is the bastion of the cosmos, and it is crumbling.
RIO: But within all of that, there’s one thing I hold onto...
RIO: My friends... I love my friends. I care for them dearly.
RIO: But within this universe... they will rot.
RIO: Within this prison, we will all waste away to nothing.
RIO: Until everything in this universe is not but void.
RIO: No matter how many times it is subverted, that is the unchangeable fate for our universe.
RIO: Past victory, lies only silence, and stillness.
RIO: And I cannot accept that.
